The Challenge

This case study is a prime example of Jorgensen Facility Management’s best practice in action.  This particular application displays the real-world application of a Maintenance Management System (MMS) from Jorgensen.  The client, a large auto manufacturer, was being plagued with great amounts of operational system downtime and subsequent excessive costs.

The Solution

After partnering with Jorgensen, a MMS was put into action and the results were overwhelmingly favorable for the client.

The Benefits

In the first year, the costs accrued by operational downtime were cut by 32 percent excluding the labor portion.  With labor included, costs were still lowered by 17 percent.  The client also experienced more measurable results to their bottom line as no capital expenditures were required to improve the building systems’ reliability.  Through the first year of the partnership with Jorgensen’s preventive maintenance program, the client recorded a seven-consecutive month stretch without a failure as a direct result of the preventative maintenance program instituted by Jorgensen.  The auto manufacturer also experienced great efficiency in work requests, 90 percent of these requests were initiated through a streamlined computerized system that drastically increased their accuracy and timeliness.
