Project Management
Design and Construction Project Capabilities
Jorgensen's managers have the experience and ability required to plan, organize, and manage subcontractors in the performance of project level repairs while communicating and coordinating access, safety, utilities, and temporary work area configurations with client personnel. Work of this nature is primarily done through specialty subcontractors who are carefully pre-qualified and selected for their ability to work successfully in operating environments with a track record of on-time performance.
The keys to managing these projects are well-defined procedures, the proper tools, and qualified, trained staff. These management skills are unique to Jorgensen and set us apart from others in the construction industry. They are the result of our early background as a management firm offering primarily consulting services and our subsequent expansion into construction management and facility management services. This gives us a special perspective of what really works, from an owner's, constructor's, and a facility manager's viewpoint.
Jorgensen uses established procedures to address the typical steps in project development and analysis, which include the following:
  • Regulatory compliance,
  • Preconstruction planning,
  • Project scheduling,
  • Value engineering,
  • Subcontractor management,
  • Quality assurance.
We employ the latest techniques to assure that our projects meet specifications, are on-time and within budget. Our professionals have the necessary skills required and fully understand the need to perform such work while minimizing disruption to on-going client operations.
Jorgensen also utilizes our on-site Local Area Technicians (LATsTM) in managing the work. They serve as the eyes and ears of the construction management effort by inspecting the work and overseeing the contractors. The LATsTM also take pride in their facilities and are especially interested in contractor performance so that all maintenance problems are minimized. This pride of ownership assures that Jorgensen and its subcontractors perform the work right the first time. Benefits of Processes and Methodology.
