Operations Planning – Work Program & Budget
Jorgensen’s Work Program & Budget™ (WP&B™) has been in use by Jorgensen for operational reviews since before technology allowed for its automation. The intent of the operations review is not the review of historical work activity or budget performance, but the review of the work load conditions, the assets, and service requirements of those assets. Comprised of three phases, the operations review will zero-base expected resource requirements whether self-performed, purchased as commodities, or provided through contract provisions, either subcontracted or outsourced.

The opportunity with the WP&B™ is to go back to the workload drivers, the assets being maintained. The WP&B™ provides a detailed estimate of the resource hour requirements, irrespective of the source of that labor, by itemizing those assets and cataloging the work activities required to maintain the assets in a manner that will meet service requirements, asset reliability, and life cycle expectations.
