Jorgensen Forges a Long-Term Real Estate & Facilities Services Partnership

One of the world leaders in consumer products with locations throughout North America has retained the Jorgensen team, in partnership with Cresa, to provide full corporate service focusing on facility operations.

As a cost-savings measure, our client combined and moved several of their business groups and headquarters to a new headquarters building in downtown Nashville and a new operations center in Antioch, Tennessee.

The new headquarters is a 33-story, concrete and glass structure directly adjacent to Bridgestone Arena. The new operations center is now located in a newly renovated retail center. Both locations contain employee services and a more open work environment. There are a limited number of private offices, upgraded conference and training facilities, and informal meeting areas to support increased levels of communication and collaboration.

Our client searched nationally to select a real estate and facilities management partner to service these new Tennessee locations…and the Cresa and Jorgensen team was selected! Their goal was to identify an organization with the depth and breadth of services to support business and employee efficiencies, and to assure that a high-quality workplace is maintained.

There were three phases to the project: defining the scope of services, planning the transition and providing on-going real estate and facilities management services. In phase one, Cresa and Jorgensen worked in a consulting capacity with the client to identify and agree on the services, organization, roles and responsibilities. In the second phase, Cresa and Jorgensen launched processes in support of the client’s various locations being combined and moved to Tennessee. We are now in the third and on-going phase which is a multi-year endeavor. Jorgensen and Cresa will now manage a variety of contracts for the client, support day-to-day employee needs, building maintenance and repair services, and manage the workplace to ensure business needs are met and space is used optimally. Our responsibilities also include the management of the headquarters and operations center leases, to ensure terms and conditions of the existing agreements are met in full.

Cresa and Jorgensen initiated their working partnership in 2009 for the purpose of providing, as a team, real estate and facilities services for major organizations that place a high value on complete and integrated real estate and facilities services.
