OOCEA Selects Jorgensen Contract Services for
Better, Safer Toll Roads
Jorgensen Contract Services, LLC (JCS) was
awarded a 5-year contract by the Orlando-Orange
County Expressway Authority (OOCEA) to perform a
wide range of highway maintenance services for their
network of toll roads. The OOCEA's system of
roadways runs throughout Orange County, Florida,
which includes the heavily traveled city of Orlando.
Jorgensen's routine roadway and bridge
maintenance responsibilities include, but are not
limited to roadside and slope mowing; guardrail and
fence repair; roadway lighting repair; slope and
shoulder repair; traffic control devices; pavement
marking and signing; emergency response; attenuator
repair; graffiti and stain removal; mechanical
roadway sweeping; concrete joint repairs; and
asphalt-in-place repair.
Jorgensen's objectives reflect those of the
Authority - keep the roads safe, open, and
beautiful. JCS developed a unique
"partnership" with USA Services of Longwood, Florida
to help support the aesthetics maintenance
requirements for this project. "Disneyworld
attracts visitors from all over the world, so
maintaining beautiful, pristine roadways is
important to ensure that they leave with a positive
impression of our state and our region," said
Jorgensen’s OOCEA project manager, John McPherson.
"We worked with USA Services for the past seven
years. They perform exceptional work and we
knew they’d be a strong asset for our team.”"
Mobilization for the OOCEA's project begins on
July 1st. "We have a dedicated and
experienced team, we have the resources located
within the project area, and our planning process is
well established," said McPherson, "we are committed
and ready to take ownership of this project."
